| Rid of Acne |
Acne can be emotionally frustrating. Blocked pores typically cause acne. Although many products in the market promise to treat acne, many of them are ineffective and have side effects. If your acne is stressing you out, use these tips to treat acne naturally.
Get Rid of the Acne Naturally
1. Clean Your Face
Cleaning your face with the right soap every day helps to clear up your acne quickly. Over-drying your skin can actually increase acne breakouts. This explains why some people get more breakouts during winter than during summer. Use a mild facial cleanser at least twice a day. If you feel the need to wash your face more than that, just splash water on your face and pat it off with a towel. This will help keep the moisture in your skin while still ridding your skin of harmful elements.
When cleaning your face, avoid scrubbing harshly. Vigorous rubbing may aggravate the acne by drying and irritating the skin.
2. Change Your Towels and Pillowcases
Towels and pillowcases should be changed at least once a week. If you've tried many ways to treat your acne and none is working, then you may need to change your pillowcases and towels more often. This is even more important in summer since we often sweat in our sleep. When the sweat gets on your pillowcases, it dirties your just-cleaned skin. Washing or changing such items daily can help you keep your skin clean and healthy.
3. Eat Your Vitamins
Poor diet can affect your skin. If you aren't ingesting the right nutrients, your skin can become unbalanced and acne can appear. Changing your eating habits can also cause acne. For example, if you have been a vegetarian for a while and then suddenly start eating meat, your system can become unbalanced. Consume a multivitamin until your system gains its balance again. This is good for your health and your skin. Any sudden changes such as switching from a nutrient-heavy, plant-based diet to a diet heavy in carbs, or if you recently started living with a person who eats differently than you, may increase your need to make up for the nutrients you are missing from your previous diet. A multivitamin can be a fast, natural solution to such a problem.
4. Don't Squeeze the Pimples
Don't pick or squeeze your pimples. Irritating your skin in this way increases your chances of developing more pimples, and may cause deeper infection of the skin, potentially causing acne scars.
Minimize skin-friction in acne-prone areas. Friction caused by a helmet, hat, goggles, athletic gear or tight clothing will delay the healing process and may promote development of other pimples. If you have to wear restrictive clothing, remove immediately when your activity ends.
5. Lemon Juice
Lemon juice works wonders and can treat acne in just a few days. To use it, squeeze the lemon juice and apply it on the affected area. Leave it on for a couple of hours. The acid in the lemon juice will kill the bacteria and dry up the pimples. Be careful not to apply too much juice as it may be harsh on your skin.
6. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera provides great relief from red, itchy acne and acne scars. It soothes and heals damaged skin and improving the general skin complexion. Cut aloe vera leaf lengthwise to extract its sap. Apply the sap on the pimples. Repeat this twice a day for best results.
7. Eat Organic Foods
Eating organic foods contributes to your overall health and improves your skin. Such foods may decrease the amount of acne over time. Organic foods and products are appropriate for almost all people. In addition to combating acne, they add to the beauty of the skin. Tea tree, essential oils, cinnamon powder, neem paste, and honey are among the best organic treatments you can use.
So stop the frustration! Use natural methods and organic foods to smooth your way to beautiful skin.
